







Education
The
mission of the Ritzville School District is to empower each
individual to achieve
personal excellence with integrity and to function successfully
in a changing world. The
District operates two buildings
with kindergarten through eighth
grade in one and grades nine through twelve in the other.
Vocational and physical education are located in two other
buildings. The District’s approximately 380 students are taught
by 25 certified teachers, 2
½ administrators, and 27 classified employees.
The district is in the Big Bend Community
College service area located 41 miles west of Ritzville via
Interstate 90 in the town of Moses Lake. A Running Start program
is offered to qualified high school students.
WorkforceTraining
Big Bend Community
College’s Center for Business and Industry Services provides
workforce training and as well as customized training especially
designed towards an employer’s needs and requirements. Each
April a Job and Career Fair is held on campus so that business
can connect with qualified and trained potential employees.
Also located in Moses Lake is
Worksource-Washington. Worksource, through a partnership
with Big Bend Community College,
offers computerized job matching and referral of quality
applicants, electronic job post
and resume banks, and customized training packages to
upgrade worker skills.
