Adams County Public
Hospital District #2 provides quality healthcare services to
patients in eastern Adams County through the operation of East Adams
Rural Hospital, Ritzville Medical Clinic, Lind Medical Clinic and
Washtucna Medical Clinic. The District is partially tax supported
and is governed by an elected Board of Commissioners. The District
has 35 full time employees and 41 part time
employees and is one of the largest employers in the area.
In
order to assure patient access to professional services the District
employs two Board Certified Family Practice physicians and three
Physician Assistants to provide patient care at the Hospital and the
three District Clinics. The hospital is a 20 bed Critical Access
Hospital which has a level V trauma designation and provides a range
of inpatient and outpatient services.
 To
further assure access to medical care the District owns four
ambulances, with two stationed in Ritzville and one each in both
Lind and Washtucna. The ambulances are manned 24 hours a day by
EMT’s from volunteer ambulance associations in each town and are
available for emergency and inter-facility transports. Emergency
transport is also available via helicopter through MedStar air
ambulance service. To assist our non-emergent patients that have
special transportation needs the District has two wheelchair
accessible vans in Ritzville that can be scheduled for transport to
and from local medical visits free of charge.

Nursing Home
Located within minutes of
Ritzville's historic downtown district, Life Care Center of
Ritzville provides total quality nursing care in a home-like
environment. Their dedicated staff works as a team to ensure
the needs of each resident are met. Programs are tailored,
allowing each resident to obtain a maximum level of
independence.
Assisted Living Facility
Rose Garden Estates is an assisted
living facility located in a quiet residential area of
Ritzville. It offers a variety of services and amenities
carefully designed to provide the right services for each
resident. It may be as simple as preparing meals, assistance
in bathing, dressing or grooming, medication reminders or
transportation to appointments. One and two bedroom
apartments are available.
